Muere la madre de una cría de orangután y su padre se encarga de ella

Hay veces que la naturaleza nos sorprende de forma muy grata, y esta es sin duda una de ellas, por lo que os vamos a contar la historia de Cerah, una cría de orangután que desgraciadamente pierde a su madre, y lejos de todo pronóstico, su padre Berani decide hacerse cargo de ella desafiando las leyes naturales de estos simios.

Tanto en el mundo humano como en el animal, a la vida trae muchos sufrimientos y experiencias verdaderamente duras, y buen ejemplo de ello es esta historia en la que una de sus principales protagonistas, una cría de orangután llamada Cerah, pierde a su madre de nombre Nias cuando todavía no había llegado a cumplir los dos años de edad.

Este fallecimiento ocurrió el pasado mes de diciembre, cuando la hembra tenía tan sólo 32 años de edad, lo cual suponía que la cría iba a quedar desamparada, sin nadie que la cuidase más que el equipo del zoológico de Denver, en Colorado, que es el lugar donde se encuentra esta familia.

Sin embargo, contra todo pronóstico, el padre de la cría, de nombre Berani, decidió que era el momento perfecto para hacerse cargo de ella, y aunque en un primer instante se comenzó a hacer cargo de la pequeña, todos consideraban que este iba a ser un comportamiento temporal, y que pronto tendría que pasar a manos de la hermana de la cría, llamada Hesty, o incluso de los profesionales de las instalaciones.

Aun así, llamaba la atención la iniciativa del padre, pero todavía ha sorprendido mucho más el hecho de observar que, realmente, su objetivo es el de cuidar a su hija hasta que alcance la edad suficiente para poder empezar a valerse por sí misma.

Ocuparse de su cría de orangután: un comportamiento muy extraño

Es importante entender que entre los orangutanes, las que se encargan del cuidado de los hijos son las hembras, ya que los machos no se involucran con su descendencia, sino que mantienen una distancia prudencial en todo momento.

Sin embargo, este es un caso que verdaderamente sorprende, y demuestra que las cosas no son siempre como pensamos, sino que hay algo más que influye en las decisiones que cada animal toma en su vida.

Aunque es necesario entender que los comportamientos de cada especie son tan particulares como inevitables en la mayor parte de casos, también debemos tener en cuenta que hay circunstancias que rompen por completo con nuestros esquemas, y nos hacen conocer historias verdaderamente conmovedoras como el de esta cría de orangután y su padre.

Además, los cuidadores del zoológico aseguran que Berani es un orangután muy atento y muy protector con su cría, además de que se dedica a ayudarla en todas sus necesidades.

Desde acurrucarla cuando duerme hasta llevarla consigo, consolarla y en general hacer todas las tareas que habría hecho su madre por ella si no hubiese fallecido tristemente hace unas semanas.

En estos momentos, la hermana de Cerah también permanece junto a ella y a su padre, de manera que los tres han formado una familia muy particular y que sin duda sorprende de forma muy grata.
