Te presentamos a Will, el niño con síndrome de Down que es capaz de todo, incluso de volar

El 14 de Octubre de 2013, William nació dispuesto a cambiar la forma de vivir de la familia Lawrence.

Minutos después de nacer, los orgullosos padres supieron que Will era diferente del resto de sus hermanos y hermanas: tiene síndrome de Down.

"Después de que el médico nos informara de que tenía Síndrome de Down, nos quedamos en silencio inseguros de lo que el futuro nos deparaba".

17 meses después, la familia mira hacia atrás y comprende que Will ha sido una bendición que los ha unido y les ha permitido crecer hasta limites insospechados. El pequeño está bien, crece con normalidad y, claramente, es feliz. Tanto que su padre, fotógrafo profesional, ha creado una serie de magníficas fotografías que traducen la alegría y felicidad del niño en imágenes de este volando en situaciones cotidianas. Auténticas obras de arte cargadas de amor y ternura que esperamos que disfrutes tanto como nosotros.

Alan Lawrence ha aprovechado sus habilidades como fotógrafo para conseguir que su precioso hijo pueda volar.

Todo comenzó cuando la familia observó que Will se ponía rígido y levantaba la cabeza al tumbarse sobre su tripa: parecía querer levantarse y volar. La familia bromeaba con que de seguir así, un día levantaría el vuelo.

La broma se hizo tan habitual que un día Alan realizó una foto sosteniendo a su hijo en el aire, después utilizó Photoshop para borrarse a sí mismo y compartió la foto en Instagram. La fotografía tuvo mucho éxito entre sus familiares y amigos, por lo que cada semana siguiente crealizó un nuevo montaje.

Conforme las fotografías ganaron importancia, los hermanos de Will comenzaron a participar activamente ideando nuevos montajes y escenarios. Este trabajo unió aun más a la familia y las fotografías adquirieron un nuevo significado.

"Las fotografias han adquirido un nuevo significado para mí cuando pienso en los retos que Will deberá enfrentar en su vida. Espero enseñarle con ellas que, incluso con sus discapacidades, el podrá hacer cualquier cosas que se proponga", declara Alan.

Actualmente la familia ha lanzado una campaña de apoyo y recogida de fondos en Kickstarter con la que esperan recaudar el dinero suficiente para editar un calendario con fines benéficos, en apoyo a varias asociaciones que trabajan con la comunidad de síndrome de Down.
